High Performance STS Inserts

These high performance sts inserts are designed to be pressed into the OEM transmission mount creating a stiffer mounting point. This drastically reduces sagging of the OEM mount improving shifting and dramatically extending the life of the OEM mount. This product is made of a high grade TPU with an 95A hardness and is designed to perfectly match the inside of the OEM transmission mount.

The STS Mc11 compounder represents the full process technology and quality know how of Coperion. It is equipped with optimized hoppers and inserts and offers high productivity at process lengths from 24 to 68 mm.

Compared to other inserts like Tannus and Vittoria these are a bit heavier but they do offer a green anodized valve cap (which is also included with the rim) and wheel/toolbox stickers. The cost is pretty steep but it looks like they're long lasting too based on feedback from long term users.

The rib shape is very broad giving plenty of protection from side swipe/slam angles and vertical slams - this can be quite important in rocky/gravity situations. They also give a very natural and progressive spring feel that helps tires grip better on flatter/power sections and aren't as deadening as some inserts such as Rimpact Pro. The wide mushroom of material in the base also lets you use lower pressures without risking burping/tire against rim'snakebite/pinch' puncture damage. Overall they seem to work really well based on our tests and feedback from riders, although we did lose air through the top tube on a couple of occasions (which would likely be lessened with an open insert). This is something that could probably be addressed by uncapping the center baffles which has the potential to increase cross sectional flow area considerably.
